The Windlock Sheet Door Model 204 is engineered for superior performance and durability, featuring a robust curtain constructed from 26-gauge galvanized grade 80 full-hard steel, roll-formed in continuous corrugation and finished with a baked epoxy primer and baked polyester topcoat for enhanced resilience. Its design incorporates nylon side stripping along curtain edges and a reinforced bottom bar, a 2″ x 1 3/4” x 12-gauge structure secured with an aluminum retainer and bulb astragal. Structural integrity is further ensured by 3/16″ thick steel angle support brackets and a 1/4″ thick steel diagonal brace. Operation is facilitated by a reliable cast iron pocket wheel drive chain hoist. The guide assembly comprises roll-formed 12-gauge galvanized steel channels with a 12-gauge toggle lock windlock insert, complemented by 10-gauge galvanized windlock clips riveted to the door curtain edges, enabling it to satisfy a windload of +/-35.0 psf, tested to +/-52.5 psf for units up to 14’ wide x 18’ high. For optimal energy efficiency, the door is insulated with Mylar and polyethylene laminated to the corrugated sheet, supported by a 2” brush side draft seal with a 1” aluminum retainer and an E.P.D.M. top draft stop.
